CENTRAL APPALACHIA
LEADERSHIP LAB
We’re pursuing a bold north star goal for Central Appalachia, and we invite regional changemakers to join us as members of the Central Appalachia Leadership Lab (CALL).
Our hope for the region we serve:
Our hope for the region we serve:
Central Appalachian youth will achieve economic mobility and have access to a future filled with possibilities.
To reach this goal, we invite leaders to join us as Lab members, a robust team working across all sectors and industries, who will drive toward collective impact in our mountain communities.
CALL is a three-year leadership development opportunity for community changemakers, including but not limited to TFA alumni, who are living, working, and leading in Eastern Kentucky, Southwest Virginia, Northeast Tennesee, and West Virginia.
About The Lab
Members will build new and deepened understandings of communities in Central Appalachia and the practical issues impacting our north star goals within them.
Along the way, they’ll expand their regional network, learn from new and diverse perspectives, strengthen their leadership capacities, and reground in a sense of hope and what is possible for youth.
Ultimately, members will collaborate across existing silos, take on deeper leadership, strengthen the technical capacity of systems related to our north star goals, and shift national narratives to the power, possibility, and potential of our region.
About The Opportunity
CALL members will serve for three years, receiving a robust annual financial award, access to personalized professional development and leadership coaching, and covered travel to attend regional, place-based site visits in 10 different Central Appalachian communities.
