Program Benefits

CALL members will receive a financial award and personalized professional development, developing and acting on personal theories of change as motivated community leaders.

What are the benefits of being a Lab Member?

  • CALL members will receive a total financial award of $7,500, disbursed over the three-year membership term. The award is considered taxable income.

  • Lab members will visit 12 different communities across Central Appalachia over the duration of their three-year membership term, learning about what the pursuit of the 2030 goal might look like in different regional contexts.

  • Lab members will have access to a pool of funds that can be applied toward their professional development needs. Some non-exhaustive ideas for how funds may be used include: tuition, training or coaching, learning from mentors or industry experts, attending conferences or workshops, purchasing tangible materials or memberships, etc.

Members will receive support in identifying experiential, social, and formal learning opportunities aligned to their needs. See example Lab member learning plans here and here.

  • Members will engage quarterly with a cohort of peers via networking opportunities and gatherings to drive toward collective impact.

  • Members will receive support in identifying and accessing stackable public and/or private dollars and benefits to supplement the financial award.
