Rooted Application Track
Applicants that currently have permanent residence in the TFA Appalachia region will submit an application through the Rooted Track.
The application process and timeline for the Rooted Track are detailed below.
Application Submission
Applications can be submitted between April 1 and June 3, 2023. Learn more about the Application Components before applying.
Submit an online application to be considered for the Rooted Track.
Round 1 Virtual Interview
Application review begins June 5, 2023. Those selected to move forward will be invited to a 30-minute, virtual Round 1 interview.
Round 2 Virtual Interview
Those selected to move forward after the Round 1 interview will be invited to a 60-minute, virtual Round 2 interview.
Membership Acceptance Notification
Applicants are notified of membership award status no later than July 28, 2023.
If applicants are already fully employed in the region, formal acceptance is awarded at this time.
If applicants are not already fully employed in the region, they will proceed to the final talent matching process.
Talent Matching Process
(if applicable)
In the final step, the applicant is responsible for securing employment in the region, with support from TFA Appalachia staff. Formal acceptance is awarded once employment is secured by the applicant.
